We are looking for a
Production Scheduling Analyst to join our team and play a critical role in developing and maintaining production schedules across our printing presses, slitting and bag conversion operations.
Working closely with Customer Service, Materials Control, Warehouse and Production teams, you'll help ensure customer demand, material availability and manufacturing capacity are aligned to deliver outstanding service, maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
The role
As a Production Scheduling Analyst, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining effective production schedules that support customer requirements while optimising manufacturing performance.
Acting as a key link between planning and operations, you'll balance demand, capacity and material availability to ensure efficient workflow across the site and achievement of OTIF (On Time In Full) targets.
- What you'll be doing
- Create and manage production schedules across printing, slitting and bag conversion operations.
- Balance customer demand, material availability and manufacturing capacity to achieve delivery targets.
- Work closely with Customer Service, Materials Control, Warehouse and Production teams to coordinate workflow and resolve planning issues.
- Monitor schedule performance, adjusting plans to respond to changing priorities and operational challenges.
- Analyse capacity, inventory and planning data to support operational decision-making.
- Maintain accurate ERP/MRP planning information and produce performance reports.
- Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime and improve service levels.
What do we want from you?
- Previous experience within production planning, scheduling, supply chain, inventory control or manufacturing operations.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, ideally within flexible packaging, printing, converting or a similar production environment.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across multiple departments.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proactive, self-motivated approach with strong attention to detail.
- Customer-focused mindset with the ability to balance service, efficiency and operational performance.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Associate Degree qualification or equivalent experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
