CNC Turner Required
We are currently recruiting a skilled CNC Turner for a high-spec precision engineering environment working on complex, high-tolerance components using advanced materials.
Role Overview
Programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes to manufacture precision components to micron-level tolerances in a quality-driven workshop environment.
Initial location: West Byfleet (4-6 months)
Permanent location: Send, Woking (Surrey)
Key Responsibilities
- CNC programming, setting, and operating turning machines
- Producing precision components to tight tolerances
- Working with exotic materials (Titanium, Inconel, Hastelloy, Duplex, etc.)
- Reading engineering drawings and GD&T
- Tool selection, machining strategy, and process optimisation
- In-process inspection and quality control
- Fault finding and machine adjustments
- Maintaining strict health & safety standards
Requirements
- Proven CNC Turning experience
- Strong programming ability
- Ability to work to tight tolerances
- Understanding of engineering drawings & GD&T
- Experience with inspection tools and quality standards
- Aerospace / Oil & Gas / Defence background desirable
Package
- £18.50 - £19.50 per hour (DOE)
- Overtime at 1.5x rate
- 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 07:00-15:30)
- Pension scheme (5% employee / 3% employer)
- 24 days holiday + bank holidays
