Cable Assembler / Wiring Technician Required to work for manufacturing company based in Woking.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities of the role:

  • Manufacture of control boxes and panels, wire assemblies in accordance with demand levels to suit Production and Spares requirements.
  • Experience in the assembly and correct termination of cable looms and harnesses.
  • Ability to read, interpret and follow diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of material and other written or pictorial instructions/procedures to accurately assemble products.
  • Purchase Requisitions to enable the parts to be ordered in time and in the correct quantities.
  • Ensure that goods received from suppliers correspond to those ordered and agreed with suppliers (correct parts, correct quantities, correct version status, correct labelling, and correct packaging).
  • Escalate any supplier/subcontractor issues to the Cell leader/Supply Chain department as required.
  • Support and maintain storage systems for parts required.
  • Set up and maintain suitable tooling and production equipment for the production of Panels.
