We have an excellent opportunity for Electronics Inspectors to work for a manufacturing company based in Portsmouth, Hampshire. Please see further details below:
- Roles: Electronics Inspectors
- Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire
- Duration: Both temporary and permanent roles available
- Salary: £14-15/hour
- Working Hours: 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday
The Electronics/PCB Inspector will be required to visually inspect PCBs to ensure that they meet quality standards. Duties/tasks will include:
- Inspect PCBs to IPC-A-610, class 3 to ensure quality of product using the latest magnification equipment & AOI and XRay
- Liaise with Production
- Assist and support Production Technicians by discussing faults and findings to include Internal Training of the Team
- Manage and resolve inspection queries and raising NCR's as applicable
- Completing all NCR paperwork
- Monitor build, quality and report quality issues as necessary
- Action rework as necessary
PCB Inspector - other skills/knowledge required:
- Understand component identification codes such as resistors, capacitors and ICs
- Able to interpret engineering drawings and bills of materials (BOM)
- Previous inspection and assembly experience to IPC-A-610 class 2 minimum desirable
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time on repetitive tasks
- Able to work effectively to deadlines
- Demonstrates proactive approach
- Good communication skills
- Dexterity, Good Hand and Eye coordination
