Are you an experienced Panel Builder who can also deliver electrical design? This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on engineer to join a dynamic organisation where your skills will make a real impact. We are seeking a Panel Designer & Builder with 5-15 years of experience (more experienced candidates are also encouraged to apply) who can manage the full lifecycle - from designing large-scale electrical panels to building and testing them on site.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Panel Building (70%)
    • Build and test large control panels (up to 2m high) in-house
    • Connect electrical equipment, test cables, and update drawings/documentation
    • Organise transport of equipment and panels to/from sites
    • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workshop
  • Electrical Design (30%)
    • Create and update electrical drawings (EPLAN experience preferred)
    • Support documentation and design improvements
  • Additional Responsibilities (10%)
    • Purchase and track equipment for projects
    • Liaise with suppliers and manage missing orders
    • Travel occasionally (approx. 20%, UK and abroad) for installations and testing
    • Opportunity to do overtime

About You

  • 5-15+ years' experience in panel building and electrical design (20+ years also welcome)
  • Skilled in both hands-on panel assembly and creating electrical schematics
  • Comfortable working with various voltages (24V AC/DC; 240V AC; 415V AC)
  • Familiar with EPLAN or similar CAD tools (training can be considered)
  • Knowledge of conveyor or robotic systems is an advantage
  • PLC/HMI programming exposure (Siemens/Allen Bradley) is a plus
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Able to travel for site work when required
