Key responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, filling, cleaning, and masking as required
- Mix paints, stains, lacquers, and coatings to the correct colour and consistency
- Operate spray guns and related finishing equipment safely and effectively
- Apply coatings evenly to meet quality and finish specifications
- Inspect finished items for defects such as runs, overspray, or uneven coverage
- Carry out minor repairs or rework where needed
- Maintain spray booths, tools, and equipment in good working condition
- Follow health and safety procedures, especially around ventilation and chemical handling
- Work to production targets while maintaining quality standards
- Liaise with production and quality teams to resolve finish issues
