The Production Manager is responsible for running the workshop, ensuring that all workshop activities are planned and managed in accordance with the agreed timescale and budget, managing all workshop staff and monitoring all other activities that contribute to the success of the workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the planning of all workshop activities including goods-in, kitting, assembly, wiring, manufacturing, packing, goods-out.
- Monitor overall project progress, resolving risks and issues and initiating corrective action plans.
- Deliver on time, on budget, on quality workshop tasks.
- Workshop activities will involve a large variation and quantity of projects, ranging from low value (£5K) simple projects lasting weeks, up to large (£1M+) complex projects lasting several years.
- Equipment builds range from small bench-top assemblies, a few centimetres square and weighing a few KG, up to large 2 m floor cabinet with complex and heavy componentry weighing over 1 000 kg.
