THE ROLE

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining a highly automated FMCG production facility, ensuring machinery remains safe, reliable and available for production.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
  • Responding to reactive breakdowns
  • Electrical and/or mechanical fault finding and repair
  • Diagnosing faults across automated FMCG production machinery
  • Minimising downtime and restoring equipment to operation quickly
  • Supporting continuous improvement projects
  • Working closely with Production and the wider engineering team
  • Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability
  • Supporting root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records
  • Working safely and in line with site procedures

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this Maintenance Engineer position, you will need

  • City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification
  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within an FMCG, manufacturing, production or process environment
  • Experience maintaining production or process machinery
  • Strong electrical or mechanical maintenance background
  • Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • A hands-on and proactive approach
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A genuine interest in automation and modern FMCG manufacturing technology
  • Full right to work in the UK
