THE ROLE

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be part of a multi-skilled engineering team responsible for maintaining and improving a demanding industrial production environment.

You will be involved in both planned and reactive maintenance, helping to maximise equipment reliability and minimise production downtime.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
  • Responding to and repairing equipment breakdowns
  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding
  • Maintaining large-scale industrial and process equipment
  • Working with pumps, motors, gearboxes and pneumatic systems
  • Diagnosing faults and implementing effective repairs
  • Identifying recurring equipment issues
  • Supporting root cause analysis and permanent corrective actions
  • Contributing to continuous improvement projects
  • Working to engineering KPIs and site standards
  • Supporting improvements to equipment reliability and performance
  • Working closely with Production and other engineering disciplines
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a hands‑on Maintenance Engineer with a strong heavy industrial, process or manufacturing background.

You will ideally have

  • A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent experience
  • Strong hands‑on maintenance experience within a heavy industrial environment
  • Electrical or mechanical bias with the ability to work across disciplines
  • Experience maintaining large‑scale industrial machinery and equipment
  • Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault‑finding skills
  • Good diagnostic and problem‑solving ability
  • A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A willingness to learn and develop technically
  • An interest in automation, controls, reliability or engineering improvement
  • The ambition to develop your career within a long‑term organisation
