Proactive Global is seeking a motivated Costing Technician to join a leading electronics manufacturing company. The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Technical Services, and Purchasing teams to prepare accurate and competitive quotations for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Review customer RFQs and documentation to accurately identify technical requirements and specifications for quotation preparation.
- Interpret engineering drawings, Bills of Materials and component data, with a strong understanding of electrical components.
- Liaise with suppliers and the Purchasing Department to obtain pricing and lead times, ensuring quotations are accurate and comprehensive.
- Use ERP systems and specialised quoting software to prepare and record quotations efficiently.
- Maintain awareness of costing calculations (e.g., margins, waste) to ensure alignment with sales targets.
- Pay close attention to detail to ensure all costings, documentation, and quotations are accurate.
- Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines and support team objectives.
