A leading UK manufacturer is seeking a skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its high-performing engineering team at a state-of-the-art production facility in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly automated manufacturing environment, supporting modern production equipment while driving reliability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
- Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to reduce recurring equipment failures
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using a CMMS system
- Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety procedures
Skills & Experience
- Completed Engineering Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent
- Previous experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, beverage, packaging, pharmaceutical, or other fast-paced manufacturing environments
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience with automated production equipment and PLC-controlled machinery
- Knowledge of conveyors, motors, drives, sensors, pumps, and pneumatics
- Experience using SAP PM, Maximo, Pirana, Shire, CMMS, or similar maintenance systems
- Able to work effectively within a 24/7 manufacturing operation
