The CNC Turner will set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines to produce precision components to the required specifications. The role requires technical skill, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work orders.
- Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and other relevant equipment.
- Program machines or adjust existing programmes to achieve the required tolerances.
- Conduct quality checks on finished components using measuring instruments.
- Maintain accurate production records and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Work closely with other workshop staff to meet production schedules.
