We are currently recruiting for Brake Press Operators in Wakefield to join a growing and busy production and fabrication team.
Responsibilities
- Setting up and operating brake press machinery
- Bending, forming and shaping sheet metal to specification
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and job sheets
- Adjusting machine settings, tooling, and programmes as required
- Conducting quality checks to ensure accurate dimensions and finishes
- Working to production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards
- Supporting general fabrication processes when required
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience operating brake press machinery (essential)
- Ability to read engineering drawings and follow technical instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
- Good mechanical understanding and practical skills
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated approach to work
