Proactive are urgently recruiting for Electrical Fitters/Mechanical Fitters to join a major automation installation project on a brand-new distribution centre build in Middlesbrough (TS1 area). This is a great opportunity to work on a large-scale warehouse project involving conveyor and automated systems with a leading global automation business.

Role Details

  • Location: Middlesbrough (TS1)
  • Start: Beginning of June
  • Duration: 8 weeks (with follow-on projects)
  • Rate: £30 per hour
  • Status: Outside IR35

Duties include

  • Installation of conveyor and automation systems.
  • Working on roller conveyors and belting systems.
  • Mechanical fitting (install, align, assemble conveyor systems).
  • Electrical work (cable installation, tray work, terminations).
  • Supporting system setup on a new build site.

Requirements

  • ECS or CSCS Card (essential).
  • Strong experience in conveyor / automation installations.
  • Background in warehouse or distribution centre projects.
  • Hands-on, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
