Maintenance Engineer needed near Ashford, Kent for a Monday–Friday contract with a high‑speed packaging manufacturer. You must have experience maintaining machinery in a manufacturing environment. £37 per hour, Outside IR35, Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week. Overtime is available.
Location & Commute: Commutable from Ashford, Maidstone, Folkestone, Charing, Canterbury, Winchelsea, Kingsnorth, Sittingbourne, Dover, Rochester, Chatham, Aylesford, Snodland, Strood, Sevenoaks and other parts of Kent.
Responsibilities:
- To carry out the requirements of the planned preventive maintenance programme.
- Solid practical electrical or mechanical hands‑on experience maintaining machinery.
- Attending to breakdowns in a fast‑paced environment.
- Using initiative to solve breakdowns.
- Planned maintenance.
- Mechanical or electrical fault‑finding.
- Adhere to H&S.
Qualifications & Desired Skills:
- Mechanical or Electrical qualification or Apprenticeship and experience.
- FMCG experience and experience in a manufacturing environment.
