Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Manager from a manufacturing background, in Ilkeston, to oversee and manage the company’s financial operations. This is a key role within the business, combining hands-on financial management with the opportunity to develop and support a small finance team.
What’s in it for you/ benefits:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (4:00pm finish on Fridays)
- £42,000 – £45,000 per annum, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the company’s day-to-day financial operations
- Produce management accounts, cash flow reports, forecasts, and statutory reporting
- Ensure accurate financial controls, reporting, and compliance
- Manage and develop one direct report (Finance Assistant)
- Work closely with senior management, providing clear financial insight and support
- Maintain and develop systems and processes to improve efficiency
This is a fantastic opportunity to have full autonomy of the company’s financial accounting with only one direct line report, who you will have permission to develop and mould in line with the business needs.
About You:
- Ideally fully CIMA qualified
- Manufacturing background essential
- SAGE 200 experience essential
- Strong experience in management accounts, cash flow management, forecasting, and statutory reporting
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across the business
- Proactive, organised, and detail-focused
