Our client is an in-house café that is open to the internal workers, as well as members of the public in Marchington. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Café Cook to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity with an immediate start. Initially offered as maternity cover, the role has the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

Role Overview:
As a key part of the café team, you’ll be responsible for preparing a simple, high-quality menu including breakfasts, toasties, sandwiches, and pastries. You’ll support the smooth running of the kitchen and help deliver a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook basic menu items to order
- Stock intake and ordering of goods and materials
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards
- Work efficiently to meet service times
- Support other team members as needed
- Communicate clearly and positively with the front-of-house team
Skills and Experience:
- Previous kitchen or café experience essential
- Basic food prep skills and an interest in food
- Punctual, trustworthy, and hardworking
- Able to follow food safety and hygiene procedures
- Friendly team player with a can-do attitude
