Our client is a well-established car dismantler based in Nottingham. We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable Vehicle Mechanic to join their team. If successful, this is a permanent position with excellent long-term benefits. This is an immediate start!

Role Overview:
As a vital member of the team, you will be responsible for dismantling vehicles safely and efficiently for parts and scrap. This role involves mechanical strip-down of vehicles, use of tools and equipment within the yard. You will ensure all parts are removed without damage, to allow to be sold in line with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dismantling vehicles for parts and scrap
- Removing engines, gearboxes, panels, and components
- Manual handling and heavy lifting
- Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience as a vehicle mechanic essential
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual work
Must be able to provide recent work references to demonstrate reliability and trustworthiness.
