Our client specialise in high-speed CNC machining of quality precision milled parts in aluminum, non-ferrous metal and plastic. Based in Stapleford Nottingham, Proactive Staff are looking for a great milling CNC machine setter to join their team.
What's in it for you / Benefits:
- £30K-£38.5K per annum (depending upon experience)
- 7:30am - 16:30pm Monday - Thursday
- 7:30am - 12:30pm Friday
- Immediate start
- Successful placements will lead to a permanent contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and set multi-axis CNC milling machines to produce components for aerospace, rail and automotive sectors
- Develop and write CNC programs using G-code, M-code, or CAM software
- Set machining parameters such as speeds, feeds, cutting depths, and tool paths
- Optimize CNC programs to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize material waste
- Perform quality control checks using precision measuring instruments
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Skills & Experience:
- Previous programming experience with CNC Machines
- Comprehensive knowledge of Fanuc
- Proven track record of excellent attendance and reliability
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
