Laser Supervisor

Proactive Staff are looking for an experienced Laser Setter to join our established client as a shift supervisor. Based in Lenton, Nottingham this is an immediate start, with great long term prospects working for a great boss!

• £28k – £30k per annum based upon experience

Job Overview:
Being an experienced Laser Setter and ideally having some supervisory experience you will manage your team, providing support to colleagues, whilst still operating and maintaining machines. Further management training is available to an experience operator/setter who is ready to step up into a managerial role.

Responsibilities:

• Operate 4k, 6k & 12k CNC laser cutting machines to produce precision parts.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
• Set up machines, load materials, and perform quality checks.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are consistently met by all.

Experience:

• Proven experience operating laser cutting machines (Bystronic ideally, but would consider Trumpf or Amada).
• Ideally some supervisory or management experience.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal materials and tolerances.
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings.
