Due to continued and stable growth, My Client is looking for a skilled CNC Milling Setter / Operator to join their team on a full-time basis.

About Us:
My Client provides end-to-end solutions from prototype and low-volume development to full-scale high-volume manufacturing and assembly. They specialise in precision sheet metal work and machined components for sectors including Aerospace, Instrumentation, Leisure, Scientific, Oil & Gas, Defence, Nuclear, Automotive, and other UK and European industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision components to specification
Operate HAAS DT1, HAAS DM2, and XYZ 1510/1020 machines with Siemens 828D controllers
Use CNC and manual machinery in line with work instructions
Set datums using wobbling edge finder, Renishaw probe, or 3D taster
Maintain high quality and safety standards at all times
Record production details and work times accurately
Ensure machines are maintained and kept clean and orderly
Interpret technical drawings to determine machining processes
Use precision measuring tools to inspect machined components
Conduct in-process inspections and record results, adjusting offsets or notifying supervisors when required
Carry out basic machine adjustments and routine maintenance tasks (e.g., changing coolant, filters)
Ideal Candidate Profile:
We are looking for an experienced CNC Setter / Operator who is confident in reading and working from engineering drawings. While programming experience is not required, a basic understanding of CNC code is needed to make minor edits or adjustments.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience in CNC machine operation and setup
Ability to work independently and safely on CNC machinery
Competent in interpreting engineering drawings
Skilled in using precision measurement equipment such as Vernier calipers and micrometers
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am 4:30pm
Friday: 8:00am 1:30pm
Total: 37.5 hours per week (Rotating shift pattern may apply)
