Proactive Staff are looking for a skilled CNC Lathe Setter to join our established client in the Hucknall, Nottingham area. This is a great opportunity to further your career within Engineering with a progressive employer.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Setter/Operator with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience operating CNC lathes, preferably within an Aerospace environment. This role involves precision machining of components, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Set & operate CNC lathes to produce high-quality components according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Set up and adjust machines, including loading materials and selecting appropriate tools.
- Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
- Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and implement best practices in machining processes.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Experience:
- Proven experience setting & operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, including the ability to read technical drawings and data sheets.
- Previous experience in an AS9100 certified company would be advantageous.
- Previous experience on Citizen Miyano, Cincinatti Lamb, Hawk & Falcons, Doosan Lynx machinery would be advantageous.
