We are currently seeking an experienced Contract Fire Door Manager to join our team in Peterborough.
Are you experienced in joinery and fire protection? Do you have extensive experience in the compliance of fire safety and installation? Can you lead a multi-site team to ensure the smooth and effective running of installations? Are you ready to step up into an exciting autonomous field-based management role?
Role Responsibilities
- A Contract Fire Door Manager plays a critical role in the fire stopping industry. You will be responsible for the day-to-day planning management of current and future fire door contracts.
- You will manage administration in an organised and efficient way including the completion of Risk Assessments, Method Statements and storage of safety documentation.
- Stay up to date with current health and safety legislation and requirements, escalating changes where needed and incorporating such changes into your ways of working.
- You must possess excellent communication skills and be able to articulate yourself both verbally and in writing to ensure that key information is provided and conveyed as required.
- Installation and inspection of fire doors to ensure a good finish and compliance with safety standards.
- Planning workloads for labour and material deliveries, to ensure sufficient quantities are on site at all times.
- Quantify and price door installation.
- You will be required to meet with clients and survey works in multiple locations across the Midlands and London, therefore a full UK driving license is essential.
- You will actively engage in keeping your CPD (Continuous Personal Development) log up to date. In return we will be happy to place the right candidate on management training to include Level 7 Site Management Safety Training (SMSTS) and Fire Accreditation Scheme (FIRAS).
Requirements
- You’ll be a well-presented, approachable and professional self-starter.
- Excellent organisation and time management is essential for this role with the ability to work under pressure.
- Your attention to detail will be thorough and accurate.
- You must demonstrate effective management and prioritisation of your workload and work to strict deadlines.
- NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry.
- A minimum of 3 years industry experience.
- A clean UK driving license.
- FIRAS/Qmark Experience would be advantageous, however not essential.
The role is predominantly office-based Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00 in Peterborough but will involve travel to and from sites. (Please note occasional weekends may be requested to support client events)
