We are seeking several skilled and dependable Demolition Operatives to join our construction team. This role involves safely dismantling structures and preparing sites for new developments. The ideal candidate will have experience with various construction-related tasks and possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects within the construction industry, contributing to the successful completion of demolition works.
Duties
- Safely demolish buildings, walls, and other structures in accordance with project specifications and safety regulations
- Operate hand tools and power tools such as sledgehammers, drills, and saws to facilitate demolition activities
- Assist with site clearance, including removing debris and hazardous materials
- Support with site preparation for subsequent construction phases, including organising materials and equipment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure work is completed efficiently and safely
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience in demolition or related construction roles
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in challenging environments
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Valid relevant certifications or licences (e.g., CSCS card) essential
