I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a leading one-stop destination venue who are looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant General Manager to join their leadership team. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a high-profile hospitality business where culture, innovation, and guest experience come first.
The Role
As Assistant General Manager, you’ll work closely with the General Manager to deliver exceptional results across all areas of the business — from people, food & drink, and guest service, through to financial performance. You’ll lead with energy and enthusiasm, inspiring your team to deliver outstanding hospitality and helping to drive a profitable, well-run site.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the GM in managing day-to-day operations and leading shifts.
- Inspiring and coaching your team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Driving sales and profitability while controlling labour, costs, and margins.
- Training and developing managers and team members to build a high-performing team.
- Ensuring compliance across Health & Safety, Food Safety, and operational standards.
- Overseeing supplier relations, stock control, and maintenance processes.
- Acting as a role model for inclusivity, respect, and the company’s people values.
The Person
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in hospitality or retail management, must be in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Commercially aware, with the ability to balance sales growth with cost control.
