We are currently recruiting for an experienced Grounds Foreman on behalf of our client, a well-established and fast-growing company in the commercial property and grounds maintenance industry. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong leadership skills and expertise in grounds maintenance to join a team working on a static site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of grounds maintenance workers, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
  • Manage the scheduling and execution of grounds maintenance, adhering to contract specifications.
  • Carry out a range of horticultural duties, including pruning, seasonal bedding, grass cutting, watering, hedge trimming, and weed management.
  • Ensure all equipment is used properly and maintained regularly, reporting any issues to the line manager.
  • Submit daily reports, such as timesheets, site conditions, and vehicle checks.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, addressing requests and concerns in line with company policies.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any hazards or issues.
  • Promote a positive team environment, encouraging safety, teamwork, and productivity.
  • Provide training to new employees on landscaping techniques, equipment use, and safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with COSHH and Risk Assessment procedures.

Role Requirements:

  • Proven experience in commercial grounds maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full clean driving license (essential).
  • PA1/6 spray license (desirable).
