Proactive Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for our client based in Willenhall for an Assistant Production Manager. To be considered for this role, you must have experience in a supervisory capacity in previous employments and have experience in a sheet metal environment. You can expect to earn up to Β£45,000 depending on experience for this role. Hours of work: 08:30 β 17:00 Monday β Friday. This is a straight permanent role with the client with an immediate start available for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Support the Production Manager in implementing daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.
- Monitor adherence to SOPs, work instructions, and site procedures across production areas.
- Collect, validate, and analyse production data including tonnages, recovery rates, downtime, and productivity.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports and dashboards for the Production Manager.
- High level of competence in Excel and MS Office, experience with ERP systems essential.
- Proven organisational and planning skills in a production or operational environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both shop floor teams and management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including lean methodologies and waste reduction activities.
- Support the monitoring of attendance, timekeeping, and productivity against planned targets.
- Provide day to day guidance and support to supervisors and operators in line with agreed production priorities.
Required Experience
- Experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience completing disciplinaries.
- High level of expertise on Excel and MS Office.
- Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels (shop floor and management).
- Have a structured, solutions focused approach.
