We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Miller to join our team in Birmingham. This role requires hands-on experience programming and setting Hurco CNC milling machines. The position is primarily 3-axis, with opportunities to work on 4-axis and 5-axis machines.
Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate Hurco CNC milling machines (WinMax control)
- Take jobs from drawing through to finished component
- Carry out full machine setups, tooling selection, and prove-outs
- Edit and troubleshoot programs at the machine
- Maintain quality and work to specified tolerances
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience programming Hurco CNC milling machines
- Strong 3-axis milling experience
- Ability to program, set, and operate machines independently
- Good understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and materials
- Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Beneficial (Not Essential)
- Experience using Fusion 360 CAM
- 4-axis and/or 5-axis milling experience
