We are currently recruiting for a large manufacturing company within Stafford Park who are looking to recruit for a Trade Compliance Manager to join the team. This role will be covering import and export across the UK and the EU, along with some potential travel to the United States.
Your New Role
- Ensuring all compliance with UK and EU import/export laws, regulations, and policies.
- Be the primary point of contact for all trade compliance matters across the UK and EU.
- Develop and maintain trade compliance programs.
- Manage internal audits.
- Manage customs classifications, valuation, country of origin and duty relief schemes.
- Work alongside procurement, logistics, finance and legal teams to address any trade compliance issues.
- Liaise with HMRC, EU Customs and government agencies.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Bachelor's degree in international trade, supply chain, law or business would be desirable but it is not essential.
- 5 years experience in trade compliance specifically within UK/EU export regulations.
- Experience within customs documentation, tariff classification and broker management.
- Analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
