We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing project costs, preparing accurate estimates, and supporting the bidding process across various construction and engineering projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills to contribute to the successful delivery of projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving and reviewing requests for quotations.
- Working closely with the sales team.
- Reviewing customer specifications and discussing with the engineering department.
- Obtaining costs for materials, consumables, and subcontractor work.
- Sales order administration.
- Ad hoc duties as and when required.
Experience:
- Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role within the construction or engineering sector is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry terminology.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, suppliers, and team members.
