Proactive Personnel Ltd are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Electrical Supervisor within a busy manufacturing environment. As an Electrical Supervisor, this is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong electrical background to oversee production activities, drive team performance, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
The Role: Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for supervising a team of electrical panel wirers and fitters, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining quality, safety, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading, supporting and motivating a team of electrical assembly technicians, panel builders, and fitters.
- Take ownership of allocated projects from planning through to successful completion.
- Ensure all testing and inspection procedures are completed accurately and documented before products are released for final assembly.
- Organise and prioritise daily workloads to meet project milestones and production schedules.
- Provide regular progress updates to the Manufacturing Manager on project status and team performance.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure effective communication and smooth project delivery.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, efficiency, and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety policies, risk assessments, and PPE requirements.
- Support employee development through mentoring, coaching, performance management, and involvement in disciplinary procedures when required.
- Follow and uphold all company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of three years' experience in an Electrical Supervisory or Leadership role within a manufacturing, engineering, automation, or equipment-build environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical control systems and the ability to interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
- Previous hands-on experience in electrical fitting, panel wiring, or machine assembly.
- Technically minded, with knowledge of inverter parameter configuration or a willingness to develop these skills.
- Proven ability to manage projects, solve problems, and work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience coordinating teams to achieve production deadlines and quality objectives.
Qualifications:
- HNC (or equivalent qualification) in an Electrical Engineering discipline.
