Experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer required for maintenance role at a family ran manufacturer at their Wrexham site, offering competitive salary, additional training and outstanding job security. You will be joining a diverse team of engineers from various sectors and become a valued member of the engineering team.

The Role

  • Continuous improvement of equipment
  • Day-to-day attention to mechanical and electrical breakdowns and changeovers.
  • An active position in generating ideas for improvement.
  • Finding the root cause of any production problems and finding ways to prevent the problems happening again.
  • Electrical fault-finding
  • Safe installation of machinery and control panels
  • Installation and service of material handling/weighing and wrapping machinery
  • Maintain company values

The Candidate

Essential:

  • Recognised electrical or mechanical qualification - NVQ level 3/equivalent or Above
  • Be able to fault find in both electrical and mechanical machines/systems.
  • Ability to understand Electrical and mechanical Engineering Drawings.
  • Basic PLC I/O understanding.
  • Good understanding of drives, motors, brakes, transmissions, closed loop feedback, transducers.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, hard-working and organised
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines

Desirable:

  • Experience in working in the food industry
  • Approved Health & Safety training certificate/qualification
  • Certified to BS7671 / 2018
  • SCADA, machine specific control systems
  • Programming VSD's.
  • Fabrication skills.
  • Licence for MEWP.
