Proactive Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Accountancy Practice in Wolverhampton, who are looking to appoint a Trainee Accountant. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and motivated individual, who is looking to start a rewarding career in Accountancy. No previous experience is required. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in accountancy and business.
Hours: Mon-Fri | 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Up to £27,000 per annum.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records
- Processing client accounting information
- Preparing VAT returns
- Assisting with the preparation of Year End and Management Accounts
- Assisting with Personal and Corporate tax compliance work
- Using cloud accounting software such as Xero and Sage
- Communicating with clients to obtain information and answer routine queries
Ideal Candidate:
- Has a genuine interest in accountancy, finance and business
- Is motivated to learn and develop professionally
- Has strong numerical and analytical skills
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail
- Is organised, reliable and able to manage their workload effectively
- Has good communication and interpersonal skills
- Is confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Works well as part of a team
- Has achieved GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
