Overview
We are recruiting for a client in Bilston to join their team as a Powder Coater, where you will play a vital role in applying high-quality powder coatings to various metal components.

As a Powder Coater, you’ll be instrumental in enhancing the appearance and longevity of products, contributing to their reputation for excellence and innovation.
Duties
- Prepare metal parts and surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, or masking to ensure optimal adhesion.
- Operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns, curing ovens, and conveyor systems, following safety protocols.
- Apply powder coatings evenly across surfaces using hand tools and power tools to achieve a smooth, consistent finish.
- Monitor coating processes to maintain quality standards, adjusting equipment as needed for optimal results.
- Conduct inspections of finished products for defects or inconsistencies and perform touch-ups when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Assist with basic fabrication, assembly, or welding tasks as required to support production flow.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate and troubleshoot coating machinery and power tools.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
- Basic math skills for measuring and mixing materials accurately.
- Familiarity with construction painting techniques and warehouse operations.
- Ability to perform assembly tasks with precision and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of welding processes is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is valued.
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle lifting or moving heavy materials safely.
