Overview
Proactive Personnel ltd are recruiting for a Night Shift Warehouse Operative to work for our client based in the Findern area.
Due to the location of the site, candidates must have their own transport to commute, There is no public transport to this site.
Requirements
- Have previous warehousing experience
- Have a keen eye for detail and be able to work from pick lists
- Be comfortable with heavy lifting (up to 20kg)
- Have worked nights previously
Duties
- Receiving goods – unloading shipments, checking delivery notes, and inspecting for damage.
- Sorting and organizing inventory – categorising items by type, SKU, or location.
- Stocking shelves – placing items in designated storage areas.
- Picking orders – selecting products from storage based on customer or production orders.
- Packing orders – boxing, labeling, and preparing goods for shipping.
- Loading trucks – moving prepared shipments onto delivery vehicles.
- Inventory control – counting stock, checking for shortages or overages.
- Using warehouse equipment – operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or conveyor belts (if trained).
- Maintaining cleanliness – sweeping, removing trash, and keeping aisles clear.
- Following safety procedures – wearing PPE, adhering to lifting guidelines, and reporting hazards.
Hours
Hours of work: Sunday: 22:00 – 06:00, Monday – Thursday: 22:30 – 07:00.
Pay
Basic: £14.00 ph
