Proactive Personnel is currently recruiting for a warehouse/FLT person.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow a production plan within a WMS (SAP)
- Ensure planned materials are delivered to production on time in full and returned product is removed
- Ensure all material movements are scanned in the WMS
- Wrapping and strapping of pallets
- Prepare dispatch documents and other related paperwork
- Check and maintain warehouse records
- Carry out inventory checks
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Support frequent stocktake activities
- Adhere to 5s standards of housekeeping
- General warehouse duties
- General yard duties
- Work within Company Health & Safety guidelines
Characteristics and Requirements
- Experience within a warehousing facility is essential, preferably with experience in a food packaging environment
- Conscientious and have experience of checking products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Reach Truck and Counterbalance licence
- Experience of working as part of a team and a flexible approach to work is essential, including the ability to work the required shift pattern in line with the business needs
- Sound verbal and numerical skills are required for this position
- Applicants must have a good attendance and time keeping record
- Good communication skills are essential
- Knowledge of 5s, Kaizen and Kanban systems would be an advantage
- Good PC skills
Hours: 36HPW over an eight-week shift pattern. Day shift – 6 am – 6 pm Night shift – 6 pm – 6 am
