Technical Advisor Proactive Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a well-established business on the outskirts of Telford who are looking to appoint a Technical Advisor. In this role, the successful candidate will be working within the senior technical team to provide product technical advice to customers, specifiers, and distributors on all our innovative range of building products including, internal and external wall insulation systems, render and plaster. Hours: Mon-Fri – 8:30am – 4:30pm or 9am – 5pm - 37.5 hours per week. Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 per annum dependant on experience. Duties to include but not limited to: * Regular monitoring of the technical enquiries email inbox * Answering telephone calls * Co-ordinate product enquiries * First point of contact for product application related enquiries * Monitoring stock of samples and replenishing when low, including mixing and application of product. * Supporting and leading product training days on and off site, including practical mixing and use of products * Practical demos on and off site * Provide correct technical information to all departments and customers quickly and efficiently to maximise sales opportunities. * Hands-on front facing involvement in running demonstrations at these, alongside our senior staff members. Ideal Candidate: * Plastering or wet trades experience, including render, mortar, or similar. * Looking to move from hands-on site work into an office-based advisory role. * Able to use your practical knowledge and experience to provide advice and support to others. * Confident communicating with a range of people, including contractors, homeowners, site teams, and architects. * Fluent in English, both written and spoken. * PC literate and comfortable using computer systems. * Patient and thorough, with a willingness to take the time to provide accurate, consistent, and helpful answers. * Strong customer service and communication skills. * Keen to develop your existing trade knowledge in a new advisory-focused career.
