Experienced Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineers with PLC Knowledge are required for a multi-skilled maintenance role at a large and reputable Telford based production company offering competitive salary and overall earning potential. You will be joining a diverse team of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers from various sectors including food, CNC, automotive and extrusion.

JOB OUTLINE:
  • Provide electrical, PLC and some mechanical breakdown cover on fast moving production machines.
  • Service and repair of various materials handling equipment in line with company policies and safe working procedures.
  • Demonstrate strong electrical fault finding, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills to effectively deal with breakdowns to reduce disruption to production.
THE ROLE:
  • Continuous improvement of Electrical equipment, reliability and performance.
  • Day-to-day attention to Electrical breakdowns and changeovers.
  • Finding the root cause of any production problems and finding ways to prevent the problems happening again.
  • Electrical and PLC fault-finding, re-wiring and panel inspection.
  • Safe installation of machinery and control panels.
  • Installation and service of machining and process equipment.
THE CANDIDATE:
  • Experience within a manufacturing or production industry environment is essential.
  • PLC knowledge is essential.
  • Experience in a heavy industrial environment is advantageous.
  • Electrical ability is essential, additional mechanical skills are also desirable.
  • Formal qualifications to NVQ, C&G or ONC in electrical discipline.
  • Time served engineering apprenticeship is advantageous.
  • Three-Phase electric experience is desirable.
