Immediate starts available. Must have FANUC experience. We are currently recruiting for a CNC programmer on behalf of a manufacturing company based in Stafford. This role will be temporary to permanent for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and input CNC programmes.
- Set up CNC machines accurately, ensuring correct tooling, fixtures, and parameters are in place before production runs.
- Operate CNC machinery efficiently to produce components according to specifications and quality standards.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, including calibration, cleaning, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Monitor machining processes during operation to ensure precision and adherence to tolerances.
- Adjust machine settings as necessary to optimise performance and product quality.
- Conduct inspections of finished parts using hand tools and measuring instruments to verify compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Assist with secondary processes such as grinding, welding, assembly, or the use of power tools when required.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Skills:
- Proficiency in programming CNC machines.
- Must be comfortable using FANUC controls.
- Strong knowledge of milling, grinding, welding, and plastics injection moulding processes.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, tooling selection, and setup procedures.
- Basic mathematical skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and feed rates.
- Experience with assembly work and the use of various hand tools in a manufacturing setting.
