Proactive Personnel are currently recruiting for a Sheet Metal Worker for our client based out of Castle Donington.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications and technical drawings.
- Utilise sheet metal techniques to cut, grind, weld, and shape materials as required.
- Operate hand tools and machinery safely and effectively to ensure precision in work output.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in metalworking.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and machinery relevant to metal fabrication.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Apprenticeship in Sheet Metal Work - City & Guilds Certification.
- Advanced Certificate in Fabrication Studies or Level 3 Qualified in Welding & Fabrication.
07:00 - 15:30 Monday - Thursday, 12:00 Friday. Will move over to 2 rotating shifts below once passed probation:
- Monday to Thursday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Friday 6:00 am to 1:00 pm.
- Monday to Thursday 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
