Proactive Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, insurance-approved bodyshop in Kidderminster. Due to continued growth, our client is looking for an experienced Panel Technician (Level 3 Qualified) to join their professional and modern repair centre.
This role is ideal for a skilled bodyshop technician with strong panel repair and MET experience who takes pride in high-quality vehicle repairs and working to manufacturer and insurance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out panel repairs to manufacturer and insurer standards
- Complete structural and non-structural repairs, including chassis alignment
- Perform full MET duties (strip and refit) following job cards and repair plans
- Undertake welding operations (MIG/MAG, spot welding, bonding) in line with certified procedures
- Accurately assess vehicle damage and apply approved repair techniques
- Ensure repairs meet BSI, Thatcham, and insurance approval standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
- Complete all job documentation accurately and on time
- NVQ / IMI Level 3 in Vehicle Accident Repair – Panel
- NVQ / IMI Level 3 MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim)
- Certified Welding Qualification (valid certificate required)
- Proven experience in a busy bodyshop or accident repair centre
- Strong knowledge of modern vehicle construction (steel, aluminium, bonded panels)
- Experience working on insurance-approved repairs
- ADAS awareness and repair considerations
- Knowledge of manufacturer repair methods
- ATA Accreditation
- High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to meet deadlines without compromising repair quality
- Excellent time management
