Proactive Personnel are currently recruiting for a HR Administrator to join a well-established business in Oswestry. This is a hands-on role for someone with a good practical knowledge of UK employment law and HR regulations. You will work closely with managers and employees, providing day-to-day HR support, ensuring our processes and records are kept up to date, and helping the business deal with HR matters appropriately and in line with current legislation.
Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am – 5:00pm OR 9am – 5:30pm with 30 minutes for lunch
Salary: From £30,000 per annum – Flexible depending on experience
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records and HR files
- Preparing employment contracts, letters and other HR documentation
- Supporting the recruitment and onboarding of new employees
- Administering starters, leavers and changes to employment
- Maintaining holiday, sickness absence and other employee records
- Providing practical HR support and guidance to managers and employees
- Ensuring HR processes and documentation are consistent with current employment law and company policies
- Supporting managers with absence management and return-to-work processes
- Assisting with disciplinary, grievance and other employee processes, including ensuring the correct procedures are followed
- Maintaining training and other compliance records
- Preparing HR information and reports when required
- Providing relevant information for payroll and checking employee changes
- Responding to routine HR queries from employees and managers
- Assisting with the review and updating of HR policies, procedures and documentation
- Supporting other HR projects and administration as required
Ideal Candidate:
- Has previous experience in HR administration or a similar HR role
- Has a good practical knowledge of UK employment law and HR regulations
- Keeps up to date with changes in employment legislation
- Understands the importance of following appropriate HR procedures
- Has excellent attention to detail and takes accuracy seriously
- Is organised and able to manage their own workload
- Is confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
