Maintenance Planner

My client who works within the Manufacturing industry specialising within packaging is seeking a Maintenance Planner to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with the right skill set and passion to join a fantastic team.

The purpose of the role will be to plan and coordinate all statutory, mandatory and preventative maintenance activities at site in line with production schedules to ensure minimal unplanned downtime.

  • Key Details: Maintenance Planner
  • Monday to Friday – 8am to 5pm.
  • Permanent contract.
  • Salary circa. £40k.

Duties and Responsibilities: Maintenance Planner

  • Maintain all engineering master data within SAP including asset management, preventative maintenance and calibration schedules.
  • Run planned maintenance meetings on a scheduled basis; manages work order planning and scheduling processes by prioritising work order back log.
  • Build, develop and issue Engineering documentation procedures and processes.
  • Builds, maintains and develops CMMS systems to ensure planning and scheduling are streamlined and consistent, by coordinating with planning, production and engineering departments.
  • Generate work orders for planned and reactive engineering work.
  • Coordinating activities of all OEM contractors including diagnostic visits, technical assistance, SLA reports and analysis of reports from OEM.
  • Estimating and directing labour, parts, materials, tools and equipment required to perform the work specified.

Skills and Experience: Maintenance Planner

  • Experience using SAP as you will be a key SAP user for site.
  • Prior experience within FMCG industries.
  • · Previous background in managing contractors and spare parts.
  • · Experience of working in an Engineering Maintenance Planner position.
  • · Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • · Able to read and interpret OEM engineering manuals and technical drawings.
