Proactive Personnel are recruiting for some Structural Prep Operatives to join our clients manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in preparing structural components for assembly, ensuring quality standards are met, and supporting the overall fabrication process. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a background in mechanical or construction-related fields to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Prepare structural elements by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces to meet specifications
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, modify, and finish components
- Operate welding equipment to join metal parts as required
- Assist with fabrication tasks including drilling, bolting, and fitting parts together
- Conduct basic measurements and calculations using standard mathematical techniques to ensure accuracy
- Support warehouse activities such as material handling and inventory organisation
- Assist with painting and surface finishing of structures as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
