Proactive Personnel are recruiting for a Senior Payroll Assistant on behalf of a leading supplier of accountancy and tax support solutions. Due to continued growth, the firm has a superb opportunity available for a Senior Payroll Assistant to join the expanding team.
Hours: Mon-Fri | 9am – 5pm – Office based
Salary: £27,500.00 – 35,000 per annum DOE.
Your duties will include:
- Processing, administering and managing of weekly/monthly payroll for multiple clients, including HMRC submissions
- Completing auto-enrolment assessments and calculating contributions, including pension submissions
- Processing starters/leavers and calculating statutory payments
- Processing and submitting monthly CIS Returns
- Liaising with HMRC and pension schemes as required, and other general payroll administration
- Dealing with client payroll queries
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in a similar role is essential
- Experience in Payroll Processing essential.
- CIPP qualification would be desirable
- Good understanding of payroll legislation and Auto Enrolment
- Ability to make manual payroll calculations
- NHS Pension scheme knowledge would be desirable
- Understand the importance of providing outstanding levels of customer service and willing to go above and beyond to deliver
- Excellent numeracy skills, with a high level of attention to detail
- Strong team player, whilst able to work autonomously
- IT literate with working knowledge of Microsoft 365, and ideally payroll software such as Sage & IRIS Staffology
