Proactive Personnel ltd are looking to recruit an experienced Brake Press Setter/Team Leader for our client based in the Stevenage area. To be considered for this role, you must have experience as a Brake Press setter and have some leadership experience.
Key requirements for the role are as follows:
- To have experience in programming, setting and operating Bystronic and Promecam brake press machines
- To have a good understanding of sheet metal work processes
- To have a full understanding of technical drawings
- To supervise a team of Brake Press operators and distribute work
- To set up and operate the brake press machines to achieve maximum output and quality
- To check quality and dimensions
- To carry out daily operational checks
- To work under the Health and Safety guidelines
We are looking for someone who has:
- 2-3 years’ experience of sheet metalwork/fabrication and brake press operation
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Ability to sort and prioritise workload
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain a calm demeanour
- Good knowledge of materials
- Capable of working under pressure to a deadline
Hours of work: 08:00 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday, 16:00 Finish on Friday. This is a temp to perm role with an immediate start available for the successful candidate.
