We are currently recruiting for a QA Operative on a maternity cover basis for a busy production site based in Knowsley. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous QA experience within food manufacturing, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Shift Rotations:
- 5:00am – 1:00pm
- 7:00am – 3:00pm
- 11:00am – 7:00pm
- 3:00pm – 11:00pm
Role Definition: To undertake specific QA and operational duties in line with safe operating procedures and company policies. You will help ensure products are manufactured to the highest quality standards while maintaining compliance with all internal quality procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operate safely and efficiently at all times
- Complete all relevant QA/QC documentation accurately
- Carry out raw material checks
- Calibration of probes, scales and other equipment
- Conduct finished product inspections
- Participate in internal and external audits
- Perform metal detection checks
- Carry out lab samples and swab testing
- Maintain traceability records
- Complete glass and plastic audits
- Check product and packaging integrity
- Ensure compliance with all operational CCPs
- Report quality concerns immediately to the QA Supervisor, Technical Manager or Production Manager
- Maintain correct temperature controls throughout the production process
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar QA role within food production is beneficial
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
- Flexible approach to shift work
- Good communication skills
