We are currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor to join a busy manufacturing operation in Knowsley. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supervisor/area leader looking to secure a long-term position with the potential for a permanent contract.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of production operatives on shift
- Ensure breaks are managed effectively and production schedules are maintained
- Monitor product quality and ensure production standards are met
- Complete and check production documentation accurately
- Ensure daily production targets and KPIs are achieved
- Communicate staffing requirements and production issues to management
- Carry out product changeovers safely and efficiently
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, housekeeping and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures
- Report equipment faults and maintenance issues promptly
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the department
- Assist in other production areas when required
Candidate Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing, production or food production environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible approach and willingness to learn new processes
- Ability to stand for long periods and work as part of a team
- Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
