Proactive Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for our client based in the Kingswinford area for an experienced Health and Safety Training Manager. This is a key hire for the business and you will be responsible for implementing, co-ordinating and managing Health and safety policies and procedures across the site.

You will be managing site compliance with statutory regulations providing guidance, advice, inductions and ongoing training for the workforce. The role involves:

  • Carrying out regular risk assessments (and record maintenance) to ensure management have up to date safety records
  • Overseeing safe working practices by writing and evolving processes and procedures
  • Assisting in maintaining and developing standard operational procedures
  • Building positive relationships with the site workforce
  • Maintaining a working knowledge and complying with regional/national regulations
  • Reviewing and completing COSHH assessments
  • Carrying out daily plant walks and reporting on findings
  • Development and delivery of in-house training and management of training records
  • Compiling incident and accident statistics to achieve an incident-free culture
  • Performing all internal HS audits and preparing for external audits
  • Carrying on and chairing H&S meetings
  • Identifying training needs
  • Investigating and attending all accidents/incidents
  • Responsible for audiometry testing where required

To be considered for this role, you must have NEBOSH General certification (or equivalent) and ideally have experience in an FMCG environment. You will be experienced in training and able to display strong presentation skills.

  • Safety management of pallet racking

This is a straight permanent role. 08:00 – 17:00 Monday – Friday (flexibility required along with needs of the business). £38,000 - £42,000.
