Proactive Personnel are recruiting for a Senior Accountant/Client Manager, on behalf of a well-established accountancy practice in Cross Hills. The successful candidate will be responsible for accounts preparation, ranging from sole traders to Partnerships and Limited Companies, with the opportunity for future progression/manager level for the right candidate.

Hours: Mon-Fri 9am – 5:00pm.

Salary: £35K - £50K DOE.

Key Duties Include but not limited to:

  • Accounts preparation from both incomplete records and computerised records
  • Company and personal tax return preparation
  • Managing own portfolio (manager role)
  • Reviewing work of other employees
  • Liaising with clients on all accounting matters
  • Other ad-hoc projects as they arise

Skills Required:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified. Will consider QBE but must have minimum of 3 years practice experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years recent experience within a UK based, qualified firm of accountants is desirable
  • Management accounts experience desirable
  • Excellent working knowledge of accounts preparation for a range of businesses including Sole Traders, Ltd Companies and Partnerships, including LLPs
  • Ability to prepare accounts to a high standard
  • Ability to use own initiative, to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A good working knowledge of accounting software, preferably CCH, Sage and Xero.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is essential
